What is contractor SEO?
Contractor SEO gets your business found on Google Maps, in search and in AI answers when someone needs the work you do. Telos Creative does it for builders, remodelers and trades in Fort Collins, Loveland, Greeley and across Northern Colorado, from our office in Windsor, with a page for every service you sell and your calls and quote requests counted every week.
It is the long game next to ads, because the listing and the pages keep bringing in calls long after the work on them is done. We also work with businesses in other states.

What does contractor SEO include?
The seven jobs behind it, on your own listing and your own site.
- Your Google listingThe map is where most local contractor searches get decided. We run it through our Google Business Profile management.
- A page for each job you want more ofDecks, kitchens and basements are three different searches. Each one needs its own page, built the way we set out in web design for contractors.
- Town pages, where you have something to sayWe write one when there are real projects, permits or conditions to talk about. Pages that only swap the town name stay out.
- ReviewsWe help you ask every customer, in a way that keeps to Google’s rules, because steady new reviews count for more than an old pile.
- DirectoriesYour name, address and phone number accurate on the directories Google and AI tools read for your trade.
- LinksLocal chambers, suppliers and sponsorships. These are the links that help a local contractor, and we never buy them.
- TrackingCalls and quote requests counted and matched to where they came from, on your own dashboard.
Why do directories beat contractor websites on Google?
They have the links and the pages, and you can still get around them.
On many contractor searches the top of the page is the map, then directories like Angi, Houzz and Yelp. Directories have far more links than a single contractor, so we leave the broadest search to them.
We go where a contractor wins: the map close to your address, specific searches like “deck builder” plus your town, and a listing inside the directories themselves, because AI answers quote them too. For how this plays out in one town, read SEO for contractors in Loveland.
Has this worked for anyone?
One real client, with the name withheld.
- A bathroom remodeler in Northern Colorado#1 in the Google map box for “bathroom remodeling” from its own town on 31 October 2026, in the top 3 at 52 of 72 spots for “bathroom remodeling near me” during business hours on 30 October, and 8 to 9 quote requests a month from its website, counted by hand with spam removed, in July, August and September. Its map position was already strong when we started, so read this as where it stands.

What else goes into construction marketing?
SEO is one part. These are the others we run.
- Your websiteA site built around the call. Everything else sends people to it.
- Google AdsPaid searches for the jobs you want now, while the free listings build up.
- An AI receptionistAnswers the calls you miss while you are on a job, and books them onto your calendar.
- Home service marketingIf your work is more repairs and call-outs than projects, start there.
Which contractors have we worked with?
Elevated Carpentry, a Loveland general contractor. C&S Rain Gutters, a family-owned gutter company in Greeley. Legacy Painting, a painting company we built from a blank slate. Each project page shows what the site had to do.
What will we not do?
Three shortcuts that cost contractors more than they save.
- Keywords in your listing nameIt can lift a listing for a while, and it breaks Google’s rules unless it is your legal name. A suspended listing costs you every call it brought in.
- Paid or staged reviewsGoogle now checks reviews with AI before they publish, and the penalties land on your listing.
- A promise of position or leadsWe never promise a place on Google or a number of leads. What we do put in writing is on our SEO services page.

Questions about contractor SEO
How long does contractor SEO take?
Listing fixes can show within days. A steady climb on the map and in search usually takes months, and it depends on your reviews, your links and your rivals.
Do you sell shared leads?
No. Every call and form from your listing and your site comes to you, and nobody else gets it.
Do I need a new website first?
Not always. The free audit shows what is holding your site back, and many sites can be fixed one page at a time.
Is this for general contractors or for trades?
Both. A general contractor usually needs a page for each kind of project. A single trade usually needs a page for each job, plus the towns it covers.
What is the difference between contractor SEO and contractor marketing?
SEO covers the free results on Google, the map and AI answers. Marketing is the wider plan, and adds your website, your message and any ads.
What does it cost?
It depends on what you need and how much of it already works. Arnold gives you a clear scope and price on a call before any work begins.
