What does a Google Ads agency do?

A Google Ads agency builds and runs your ads so your budget goes to searches that turn into calls and quote requests. Telos Creative manages Google Ads for businesses in Fort Collins, Loveland, Greeley and across Northern Colorado, from our office in Windsor, with tracking set up first and the search terms checked every week.

Looking for a PPC agency? PPC, or pay per click, is the same thing. Our work is on Google Ads, the search ads that show up when someone types what you sell.

What does Google Ads management include?

Six jobs, in the order we do them.

  • Call and form tracking firstBefore we change a budget, every call and form gets counted, so we can check what Google reports against your inbox.
  • Search before anything elseYour budget starts on people typing what you sell. Display and other placements only go on with a reason and a way to measure them.
  • The right areaAds aimed at people who are in your service area. Google’s default setting can also reach people who only showed an interest in it.
  • One service, one landing pageSomeone searching for gutter repair lands on your gutter repair page, and the ad says gutter repair.
  • Search terms every weekWe read the words people actually typed, block the junk with negative keywords and keep what brought calls. A term that looks odd can be a job you sell, so we check before we block it.
  • A plain reportSpend, clicks and calls on your dashboard, next to your SEO numbers.

What has this looked like in a real account?

Two real accounts, with the names withheld.

  • A home service company we took over from another agencyWe took over on 1 September 2026. Calls from the ads went from 3 in the last four weeks of August to 20 in September and 18 in October, on $994, $1,193 and $1,316 of ad spend, with Google Search clicks at about $10. About half of the October calls came from people searching the company’s name. Two months is a short read.
  • A home service business whose account we read in October 2026From September 2025 to July 2026 it spent $5,443.62. Google Search got $15.43 of that, search partners $59.45 and the Display Network $5,368.76. The one conversion it recorded was a visit to its About page. None of this shows on a monthly bill, which is why we read an account before we change it.

When is Google Ads the wrong move?

Sometimes the honest answer is to wait, or switch them off.

  • When calls cannot be countedWithout tracking, nobody can say which ads pay. We fix that first or we hold the budget.
  • When the budget is too thin to learn fromAt about $10 a click, a small budget buys only a few visits a week. That is too few to tell a good ad from a bad one.
  • When the page and listing are weakPeople who click still check your reviews and your website. If those let you down, you pay for the same lost customer twice. Your Google listing and website design may be the better first spend.
  • When search can do it on its ownOne local service business of ours got 15 leads in 3 months from paid ads, paused them, and brought in 19 quote requests in each of August and September 2026 on $0 of ads. See how we measure results.

How much should you budget for Google Ads?

It comes down to your click cost and how many calls you need.

Click costs change a lot from trade to trade and town to town. On the home service account above, Google Search clicks ran about $10 in the fall of 2026. Before we set a budget, we estimate your clicks and calls from the searches in your own area.

Your ad spend goes to Google. Our management is a separate line, and Arnold gives you the number on the call.

Trades and contractors can see how ads fit with the rest in home service marketing and contractor SEO and marketing.

Questions about Google Ads management

Can you take over from my current agency?

Yes. We did that on 1 September 2026 for the home service company above. We read the account first and keep what works.

Do you work in my existing Google Ads account?

Yes, if you have one. Its history is useful, so we build on it where we can.

How soon can ads go live?

Usually about two weeks after a yes, because tracking and landing pages come first.

Can you promise a number of leads?

No. We show you spend, clicks and calls every week so you can judge it, and we tell you when a campaign should stop.

What is the difference between PPC and Google Ads?

PPC means pay per click, which is how Google Ads charges for search ads. A PPC agency usually means someone who runs Google Ads, and that is what we do.
